Our History

Drayton Valley Funeral Services, formerly Long's Funeral Home was established in 1974 by Robert and Susan Long.  

In 1987 Louis Tinant  purchased Long’s Funeral Home in Drayton Valley which now operates as Drayton Valley Funeral Services, A Division of Pembina Memorial Chapel Ltd., also known as Tinant Funeral Chapel.

Louis Tinant began his career in the funeral industry in 1968 as an apprentice with Chapel of Chimes, Roy & Owen in Edmonton. In 1970 Louis obtained his Funeral Director and Embalmer’s License and has remained licensed since that time. 

Drayton Valley Funeral Services is a member of the Canadian Independent Group of Funeral Homes, and a member of the Alberta Funeral Services Association.
