Roger Earl Robinson
April 24, 1959 – August 11, 2019
It is with extreme and profound sadness that the family of Roger Earl Robinson announces his unbelievable sudden passing on August 11, 2019. Born on April 24, 1959, Roger grew up on a farm near Drayton Valley. He was a hard worker and excelled at running heavy equipment and was also a top notch mechanic that could fix most anything. A do it yourself kind of guy his woodworking skills were magnificent and he constructed many outstanding pieces from next to nothing for materials. Roger enjoyed spending time with family and friends particularly if there was a campfire involved. Many relaxing days were spent fishing or tubing on the river. Roger was a kind, good natured man, always willing to lend a hand, often his generosity put him in a situation of going without himself. He was all about having fun and you knew that any time spent with him was going to be a good time and bring some big laughs which kept some people coming back over and over. He was not above pulling a prank on someone just to see what would happen next.
He will be deeply missed forever by his parents Bill and Irene, sister Dorothy, daughter Jody, son Brandon (Barb), grandchildren Keely and Jax, a large extended family and many, many friends.
Roger was predeceased by his beloved Dalmatian Cherry.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 11:00 am at the MacKenzie Centre, Drayton Valley with Pastor Randy Rye officiating.
If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Drayton Valley Health Services Foundation, 4550 Madsen Ave., Drayton Valley, AB T7A 1N8.
The family would like to express their utmost thanks and appreciation to the first responders who came to aid Roger at his time of need and also to the emergency staff at Drayton Valley hospital. We know you did all that you possibly could on that tragic evening.
