June 21, 1945 – November 14, 2020

On Saturday, November 14, 2020 Blayne Johnson passed away at the Drayton Valley Hospital at the age of 75 years.

The thing about a man like him is that ten life times would not have been long enough to have him around. Life’s most important lessons came from him, the kind of lessons that shape you into a whole hearted, well rounded human. The kind of lessons you...

On behalf of the Lindgren family I would like to express heartfelt condolences to Blayne's family. Our family's farm was on the adjoining quarter section to Blayne's family home in Glen Park. I remember Blayne as a kind, caring neighbour that my family could always rely on to be there for us for whatever or whenever we needed . I have many fond memories of being pulled on a sleigh behind his horses and "helping" with farm chores. Although our families have had little contact for many years I have no doubt that his early exemplary character persisted throughout his life. His family should, indeed, be proud of the man that he was and the legacy that he left for them.

Life is a journey,
With some uncertainty...
This makes me so sad.
Ups and downs,
Round and rounds...
You were a treasure,
Its truly been a pleasure!!!
You recently gave me a hug,
My heart felt a tug.
You said (Good-bye, see you around)
I said (I love you) I frowned.
Its been a great ride,
I'll see you on the other side.

Forever loved, always missed
Your loving daughter Lynn

The Dash Between These Years

Dad, I’m glad you were in my dash -
For that dash represents all the time that we have spent alive on earth.
And now, only those that have loved and known you, know what that little line is worth.
For it matter not, how much we own; the cars...the house...the cash.
What matters is how we live and love and how we spend our dash.
Remembering that special dash might only last a little while.

So Dad,
I will always remember the time you have been a part of my little line.
I will miss you always...
Your loving daughter, Coreen
