Obituary

DONALD JIM LEMAY

February 25, 1981 – June 23, 2020

Donald passed away in a tragic accident at the age of 39. He leaves behind his mum Lorine, his dad Rene and his older brother Jamey.

Donald was a highly qualified heavy equipment mechanic, which he had been doing for 20 years. He started his career in light automotive at the age of 14, working afterschool hours.

In January 2020 he chose to leave the trade to pursue his interest in art to learn all the different mediums. His future goal was to become a professional tattooist, among other art related aspirations. Donald spent his leisure time in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, hunting, boating, fishing and hiking. Donald was a loving, kind, caring, humorous, gentle and wonderful son and dearly loved by his mum, dad and brother.

Donald was predeceased by his grandmaman Marie Flore Lemay, uncle Jean Clement Lemay, uncle Leo Lemay, Papa Harry Murdoch, Nana Winnie Murdoch.

A Celebration of Donald’s Life was held Saturday, July 4.

The Lemay would like to extend our deepest appreciation to Drayton Valley Funeral Services, Harvey and Faith, and to everyone who offered all the kind words, gestures, love, friendship and support that have helped us through this very sorrowful time. We will be forever grateful. We will cherish the memories of our precious son and brother to Jamey, and one day we will all be together again.
